All about RV convection ovens: when and when not to use

A lot of new RVs come equipped with RV convection ovens. But what does that convection fan do? When should you use it? Are there times it would be better to leave off the convection option? Helen Rennie will answer all.
Helen begins with what she calls the “Wonder Bread Test,” to illustrate some key differences in the way RV convection ovens (or any convection ovens, for that matter) cook as opposed to conventional ovens. Here’s what she found:
• In a 400 degree F oven without convection, it took 20 minutes to show any color on the bread.

Dear Dave,

Avoid “distractions” when moving into the campground
Don’t have any distractions when you are directing the parking of your home into the RV campsite. Mistakes can be quite expensive. Friendly people will come up to you while you are parking and try to help. You must figure out how to tactfully tell them that you would rather do it the way you have practiced. These same people will be there when you are unhooking your car from a motorhome, or your truck from your trailer. If you let them, they will distract you to the point that you will forget a step and pay the price later. Hidden cameras in photocopiers helped the U.S. gain access to Soviet secrets during the Cold War. In 1961, CIA agents realized that the Soviet Embassy was on lockdown and only high-clearance Soviets were allowed to enter or exit… except the Xerox repairman. They approached the Xerox VP with their idea: hide cameras in each copy machine to photograph every document that the Soviet clerks photocopied. The project was successful and tens of thousands of documents were viewed by the U.S., which helped them navigate the politics and conflicts of the Cold War.

Sargent is a handsome dog. It amuses me that some pets are attracted to certain colors.
The last study I read was dogs can see yellow, blue and shades of gray. If so, I suspect the shades of gray are nuanced by color as our golden also prefers certain colors in toys.
Never had a dog with a color preference. Have had them with a “squeeker inside” preference! 🙂

My Grandpa had a schnauzer many years ago. She had several different colored balls she loved to play with. No matter what color he told her to bring him, that’s the one she’d come back with. It was amazing to see.
