I have a suggestion for your newsletter. I think it might be helpful to mention social distancing should not mean social paranoia. In the past week, I’ve seen people several times already wearing masks dip their face under their shirt, blouse, or coat and actually cross the street when they see me coming. Six feet has become 12 ft, 20 ft, 40 ft or more. Its totally ridiculous and represents an overplayed fear that contributes to humiliating actions and social isolating.

Social distancing means different distancing to different people. Personally, I’m more comfortable with 12 ft. It’s not ridiculous, it’s an individual comfort level. Why are you taking it so personally? People are just wanting to keep themselves safe from this new virus.

The nuisance of HOAs in Florida is a big reason why I sold my condo to escape the associated hassles. There’s good reason for why those who run them are not so affectionately referred to as condo commandos.

Just cancelled our reservation at Fort Amarillo RV Park in Amarillo TX, but learned they are accepting overnight, weekly and monthly travelers. Great place to stay if traveling on I-40 thru the Texas Panhandle.

I am hearing as long as Russian and the middle east quarrel over oil prices by the time we get over this madness we could be seeing gas prices as low as a buck. Which has not been seen here in over 30 years. Which will send our economy soaring once we get back up and running. I see May 1 as a time we will be getting our economy rolling again.

Economy rolling again? Gas will go up again fast as it went down. And with all the people loosing their jobs and 25% or more small business closing, where do these people get money to spend when they are unemployed? They will take a year at least to get back on their feet if ever. A majority of people do not have reserves to cover a $400 bill and they will owe back rent and mortgages when this is over. Look it took 8-10 years to get back to where they were after 2008 recession. This is going to be a disaster for a long, long time.

There are places in southern GA where gas is coming in at 1.399 to 1.5999 for 87 octane. One station is showing diesel at 1.779

Just wondering…when traveling, I find that the rest area dump stations are closed! Where do we dump now?

We carry a supply of “doggie doo” bags in our vehicles. We don’t have a dog any longer but we use them on our hands to handle fuel handles, windshield cleaner sqeeges etc when moving about. Cheaper than the gloves, we just toss them in the garbage after use. The gloves are in short supply and ate required by essential personnel, just snother reason to use the bags.

We paid $2.06 and $2.09 per gallon for diesel fuel on April 4th while traveling thru Texas. Unleaded gas was as low as $1.55 – $1.65 per gallon

That’s too bad that you paid so much. With the EFS card from TSD Logistics you could have paid from $1.55 to $1.65 per gallon for diesel depending on your route.

Latest fuel price in Alberta Canada, in Lethbridge today 73.9 cents per liter = $2.79us/gal
In Calgary 2 weeks ago (Costco -always cheapest) gas was 69.9 cents.

Couldn’t access the poll asking how badly we need money governments are throwing about.
For us fortunately the answer would be we’re not desperate at all.

The desperation for us is knowing Canada’s debt is well over 600 Billion dollars, (before C-19) and that our Canadian Liberal government will spend almost 25 Billion of our tax dollars servicing that debt in 2019-20.,

Twenty-five BILLION we get ZERO for. Flying now paying later has never been dumber or costlier.

How the handouts are going to be financed on each side of the border is a total mystery, and is on a trajectory to become the the super problem (pain in the wallet) of the future.

The world is changing big time, and the fiscal health of the nation is on track to be the next pandemic.

Whoa there Chipmunk!! As a person & resident of Alberta [& I didn’t Vote Liberal nor NDP in either the Federal or Provincial Election] I respect our PM & Gov’t for stepping up during these real Pandemic times. It ain’t perfect but it is not ugly!!
You are close to the Border & you could step across anytime.
Bon Voyage!!

Here’s an opinion piece from Macleans that might shed a different light. Our citizens need to start paying attention to what’s going on around us.

Alvin is correct. For the $3400 I will get, I will pay 1200 back on 2020 taxes (its 1099 taxable!?), and pay economists say taxes will rise 1000 for 5 years to pay this off. So, for 2200 I didn’t request, I will PAY 5000 or so?

Diane: Governments do not have any money of their own to give. Kindly rephrase the poll tomorrow to “Of your own money the government will temporarily let you keep a tiny portion of,…”

Ironic that Marcus Lemonis probably has RV Travel to thank for the great buying price he’s getting on his many purchases of Camping World stock (CWH) over the last months. Seems he and many other insiders have been buying every as the stock tumbles. Wonder what they know that we don’t?

You can check it out at: https://www.nasdaq.com/market-activity/stocks/cwh/insider-activity

He’s buying the dip like a smart invester. Interesting that he only owns 400,000 shares worth about $2 million at today’s price. I expected him to own a much larger percentage.
